University staff urged to adhere to code of ethics and conducts

MUST Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aloys N. Mvuma has urged the University Staff to exercise the principles of integrity, accountability and professionalism as they discharge public duties at the University.

The statement was issued during the event of signing the integrity commitment document among the University staff promoted to hold various positions at the University and new staff transferred from various Public Institutions.

Pursuant to the Public Service Regulations, the University has continued to embrace this commitment as a prerequisite moveto inject accountability and to comply with code of ethics and conducts among the Universitystaff.

The Integrity Pledge is a formal and concrete expression of commitment to abide by ethical practices and to support a National campaign onethics and war against corruption.Through the integrity pledge, public leaders and public servants are required to sign an integrity commitment document in accordance with ethical principles. The integrity pledge is done once a leader or a public servant is appointed to hold an office, when changing a ministry, and on promotion to another post.
