Prof. Aloys N. Mvuma received BSc in Electrical Engineering degree from University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 1994, MSc in Information Science from Shimane University, Japan and Doctor of Engineering (Systems Engineering) from Hiroshima University, Japan in 2003. He then joined School of Engineering, Hiroshima University as Assistant Professor from March 2003 to March 2005. In April 2005, he was with UDSM as Lecturer in Department of Telecommunications Engineering. In September 2008, he joined the University of Dodoma (UDOM) as Senior Lecturer in School of Informatics, College of Informatics and Virtual Education; the position he held until May 2013 when he was promoted to an Associate Professor position.  Prof. Mvuma has recently joined Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Prof. A.N. Mvuma has held various administrative positions in academic institutions. Between May 2007 and September 2008, he was Deputy Acting Director, Centre for Virtual Learning, of UDSM. He served as Dean, School of Informatics of the UDOM from September 2008 to March 2014 before his appointment to the position of Principal of College of Informatics and Virtual Education. Between February and March, 2019, he was serving as Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Dodoma. He was appointed Vice Chancellor of MUST from 26^th February, 2019.

His research interests include adaptive signal processing, digital communication systems and ICT for development. He has published over 30 conference and 23 journal papers. He is a registered member of Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

Anitha S Nicholaus is holding Masters in Business Management (Cooperate Management) at Mzumbe University and Bachelor of Arts with Education at University of Dar es Salaam. She first work as a teacher for seven years. Now working as Examination Officer at Mbeya University of Science and Technology.

Mr.Award Magemo is holding Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from St.Joseph University in Tanzania, currently working as Tutorial Assistant at Mbeya University University of Science and Technology(MUST) since 2012.

He is also taking master of Science in Information Technology at Mbeya University of Science and Technology

Currently, I am Working on PhD at Instituto Nacional de Astrofisica, Optica y Electronica(INAOE) a research institute.

Beston is a Tutorial Assistant at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) in the department of Computer Engineering. He is holding Bsc. (hons) in Computer Systems engineering & IT, from University of Dar-es-salaam (UDSM)- 2013. He is a highly versatile, professional and experienced expert in Computer and Software Systems, Consultancy and Community Services as well as IT support services. He has worked with numerable Organizations consistently for over eight (8) years. His diverse exposure has also equipped him well in key soft areas including but not limited to Organizational Diagnosis, Strategic Planning and Technical Writing, Training (Facilitation), and Communication Skills.

Beston has a strong technical research background and has extensively worked on both; Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods. He has developed appreciable skills from the conceptualization of research objectives, translation into inquire able research questions, preparation of data collection tools, sampling, data collection, analysis, interpretation of results and technical reporting. He is adequately conversant with key research and statistical software such as ODK collector/aggregator, Paython and SPSS.

Currently, Beston is pursuing Masters in Information Communication Science and Engineering at Nelson Mandela Africa Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) – Arusha.  His research areas of interest are ICT4D, e-learning, digital foreignsic, Machine Learning and Internet of Things (IoT)

As a matter of experience, Beston has worked with ITIDO as software Engineer and technical writer; entitlements that involve designing and implementing software solutions; writing and producing technical documentation based on the client’s requirements. He has implemented software solutions (Database and mobile package/components) for Pharmacy council of Tanzania, Ocean Road Cancer Hospital and African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF). He has also facilitated training of the software solution to pharmacy council clients (Pharmacists, Medicine Dispensers, Pharmacy and ADDO owners) in all districts of Pwani and Mwanza Region.

Moreover, Beston has worked with Tanzania Telecommunication Company Limited (TTCL) as an Intern in Mbeya and Arusha Region; an entitlement that involved identifying network issues and fixing them, Termination of optical fibre cables, managing subscriber lines and broadband,  setting up user accounts, installing system wide software, adding and configuring new workstations and Ensuring email and data storage networks work properly and employee workstations are connected to the main computer network.

Charles Okanda Nyatega, with Masters degree in Signal and Information Processing from Tianjin University of Technology and Education (2012-2015) China, and Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China (2006-2010),Working as Assistant Lecturer at Electronics and Telecommunication Department (ETE) of Mbeya University of Science and Technology, Currently pursuing Doctorate degree in Information and Communication Engineering at Tianjin University, China.

I Daniel was born in 1977 in a peasant family of Mr. and Mrs. Israel G. Bynite at Karatu district, Arusha region.  Nine years after my birth I started primary education at Gyetighi Primary school where I completed in 1992. Thereafter I was among students selected to join secondary education namely Tanga Technical school. Four years later I finalized ordinary level education. In the year 1998 I joined Technical college Arusha pursuing Full Technician Certificate in Electrical Engineering where I graduated after three years.

Thereafter I searched for an employment while waiting for national examination results, and got a volunteer vacancy at Tango Folk Development college in Mbulu district as a trainer technician. I taught Electrical Installation and attended all electrical activities in the college and the surrounding society. In 2003 I was among Tanzanian students granted state scholarships’ in the Russian Federation where I pursued Informatics and Computing Techniques at Don State Technical University. Five years later I graduated being awarded bachelor of Engineering and Technology in Informatics and Computing Techniques and returned home.

I worked with several companies on contractual basis before being employed permanently by the university in April 2015. Prior to permanent employment I also worked as a part time tutor in the university under electrical engineering department since November 2011. Currently I am on study leave followed the State scholarship grant in the Kingdom of Thailand pursuing Masters of Science in Information and Data Science at King Mongkuts University of Technology North Bangkok.

Mr. Godphrey Kyambille is Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering Department of Mbeya University of Science and Technology with Masters Qualification awarded by Nelson Mandela Institute of Science and Technology and Bachelor degree awarded by St. Joseph College of Engineering. Kyambille has more than seven years of experience in academics; Kyambille has published one publication in peer-reviewed journal. Currently Kyambille is the Coordinator of Quality Assurance at the Institute of Science and Technology.

Mr. Ipyana Issah Mwaisekwa has a BSc. in Information Technology and Systems from Mzumbe University and is currently pursuing his Master's degree at the African Center of Excellence in Internet of Things at the University of Rwanda. He works as an Instructor in the Informatics Department at the College of Information and Communication Technology (CoICT). From 2017 to 2021, he was an ICT Officer at MUST. He served as a graphic designer and content analyst for the Tusome Pamoja Project at Room to Read Tanzania under the sponsorship of USAID from 2016 to 2018. He has been working in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry for more than six years, specializing in software and web development, user experience (UI/UX), and consultancy services.

Dr. JUMA SAIDI ALLY received the B.Eng. and M.E degrees from Department of Electronics and Information Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 2010 and 2013 respectively and the PhD degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Department of Electronic Engineering and Information Science at the University of Science and Technology, Hefei, China in 2019.  He is currently serving as head of the Department of Informatics at the Mbeya University of Science and Technology, Tanzania. His research interests include Wireless Networks, Wireless Big Data,AI, Machine Type Communication and Mobile Edge Computing.

Mr.  Justin Alipoki Mwakatobe is a holder of Master degree in Computer Science specialized in computer systems and networks from Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland, Currently working as assistant lecturer and acting head coordinator of MUST ICT Solutions and Innovation Centre (MIIC) at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).

At MUST, he has been departmental project coordinator and supervised several bachelor degree students on their final year project.  As a junior researcher, his research focuses on ICT solutions and innovation (hardware and software) that can be used to improve education sectors and the community. Also interested in working on computer networks and its security (cyber security) researches. He is currently working in publishing journal paper on mobile technology.

Lihendima Peter Madembwe is a Tutorial Assistant at Mbeya University of Science and Technology, where I coordinate, lead, develop and train co-workers and students.

Lihendima believes in trustworthiness about the work he does. He is a dynamic and energetic professional with strong orientation towards the identification of problems and offering solutions. He is a motivated and detailed conscious leader who displays considerable strength across a wide range of leadership skills and ability to face new challenges. He enjoys working in teams, though he is able to work and meet deadlines as individual

Lihendima had occupied various leadership roles; he worked with Teofilo Kisanji University as Library ICT Manager for the period of 2010 – 2015 before joining Mbeya University of Science and Technology in which he is the Examination Coordinator for Computer Engineering Department from 2015 to date.

Lihendima is an Oracle Database Administrator, Microsoft DotNet Programmer and Computer Maintenance and Repair Personnel, all these skills being attained from reputable Indian institutions.

Lihendima holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from St Joseph Institute of Information Technology.

Lihendima currently works as Departmental examination coordinator and won best worker award for three years in the period of 2015 to 2019 among other distinctions in the field. He helps Mbeya University of Science and Technology to implement the ICT Policy as one of the members of ICT Sub-Committee of the University, He also facilitates various Hardware and Software oriented modules under Computer Engineering Department.

Dr. Mrindoko R. Nicholaus received BEng in Computer Engineering degree from Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), Tanzania in 2009, MSc in Electronics Engineering and Information Technology from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2015. He joined Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) currently Mbeya University of Science and Technology as Tutorial Assistant in 2009. In 2016, he was promoted to Assistant Lecturer in the  Department of Computer Engineering, the position he held until January 2019 when he was promoted to Lecturer position.

Dr. Mrindoko has held various administrative positions in academic arena. Between March 2010 and October 2012, he served as Project Coordinator, Department of Computer Engineering of MIST. He is the current Head of Department of Computer Engineering from August 2016.

His research interests focus on electronics and industrial automation control, location-based services (LBSs), and ICT for development. He has published 2 conference paper and 10 journal papers. He is a registered Technical Teacher.

Engineer Noel Yohana Chintelele received a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering from Mbeya Technical College, Mbeya, Tanzania, Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Dar es salaam Institute of Technology, Dar es salaam, Tanzania and M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Dodoma, Dodoma, Tanzania in 2002, 2009 and 2016 respectively. He has saved as Electrical and Electronics Engineer in various private companies before joining with Mbeya University of Science and Technology in 2009. Currently he is a Tutorial Assistant, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Computer Engineering, Mbeya University of Science and Technology, Mbeya, Tanzania.

Mr. Phesto Peter Namayala earned a bachelor's and master's degree in computer science from University of Dar-es-Salaam in 2002 and University of Hertfordshire in 2009, respectively. He joined Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) as Assistant Lecturer in July 2013 and wa promoted to Lecturer on October 2019.

He previously served as ICT Manager (Mobile Technology) & Advisor to ACDI/VOCA at Nafaka project Feed the Future Initiative, ICT and Database Specialist at The Foundation for Civil Society, ICT team leader – MEPI project at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre, M&E consultant at JL consultancy, iHRIS Advisor at Intrahealth international, an ICT lecturer at the Tumaini University and the National Institute of Transport (NIT), IT Manager at Total Tanzania Limited , IT Manager at Diamond Motors and as a network programmer and database administrator for SoftTech Consultants limited.

Phesto also has experience in IT management, software implementation and programming work on both proprietary and Open Source software, as well as in database design, installation, configuration and support.

His research interests’ focus on networking, FOSS, ICT4D, big data and artificial intelligence. He has five (5) journal papers in international peer reviewed journals.

Eng. Sadiki Lameck Kusyama, received a Bachelor in Computer Engineering in 2009 from Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), Masters in Information and Communication Science and Engineering in 2014 from Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) and PhD in Information and Communication Science and Engineering, Specializing in Information Technology Systems Development and Management (ITSDM) from NM-AIST, Arusha, Tanzania. He has saved as Electronics and Computer engineer in various private companies before joining Mbeya university of Science and Technology (MUST) in 2009 as Tutorial Assistant. He was then promoted to Assistant Lecturer in 2014. He has been involving in teaching Computer Science and Engineering courses, carrying research and providing consultancy services related to his area of expertise and interest. Currently he is heading the Virtual Education department and Lecturer in the department of Computer Science and Engineering. His current research interests are ICT4D, Machine Learning, Big data analysis and Artificial Intelligence.

Tumaini R. Mbinda is a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering at Mbeya University of Science and Technology, where he has been since 2015. From 2016 to 2019 he served as Department Budget Coordinator and Short Course Coordinator. He received a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from St. Joseph University in Tanzania (SJUT) in 2012.

He is a Graduate Engineer and a registered ICT professional in the area of Automation & control; he has a bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from St. Joseph University in Tanzania (ST. JUIT). In October 2011, he joined Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology as a Graduate student studying for a Master’s of Science in Information and Communication Science and graduated in December 2013; and continued for a Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Technology (specialization electronics and telecommunication).
