DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

The Department of Management Accounting of the Mbeya University of Science of Technology (MUST) is under the Director of Finance and headed by the Head of Department. Department of Management Accounting has three main units, Reconciliation Unit, Fixed Assets Management Unit and Reporting Unit. 

The Department of Management Accounting performs the following tasks:

• Supervising all staff under management department;
• To liaise with the Development, Planning and Investment office in preparing annual budgets;
• Monitoring of the University Budget performance;
• Supervision of Monthly Reconciliation of all University Accounts;
• Updating of University Fixed Assets Register;
• Preparation of University Quarterly, Semi annual, and annual Management Reports;
• Preparation of University Financial Statements quarterly, semi annual and annually;
• To oversee and reviewing departmental reports;
