The entry requirements for the candidates applying for Diploma of Technical Education in Architecture Technology should possess a Certificate of Secondary School Education with a minimum of “D” Grade in Mathematics, Physics, English, and Chemistry or a Certificate of Secondary Education with Trade Test Certificate of at least Grade I or NVA Level 3 offered by VETA.

After completion of the program, students will: 

1. Understand theories and approaches towards design of various architectural spaces backed with advancement of technology.

2. Understanding basics of GIS and data management and GIS spatial data models

3. Have the necessary skills to conceive and apply design approaches with the focus of developing architectural designs with appropriate exposure conditions

4. Have acquired general knowledge and skills on the principles on achieving creativity and technological integration in solving architectural problems.

5. Have acquired general knowledge and skills on GIS data input techniques, data processing and analysis

6. Demonstrate the ability to apply basic principles of BIM in quantification of materials such as bricks, blocks, roofing sheets, nails etc

7. Demonstrate the ability to apply basic principles of entrepreneurship skills.

The mode of assessment will be made up of 40% continuous assessment and 60% end of semester examination
