Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at least four (4) non-Religious subjects in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

OR

Possession  of  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination  (CSEE)  from  Technical Secondary  Schools with a pass in at least four (4) non-Religious subjects, Mathematics, Engineering Science, Chemistry and Biology.

OR

Possession  of Certificate of Secondary  Education  Examination (CSEE) with a pass in at least four (4)  non-Religious  subjects,  two  must  be  among  the  following  subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology  with possession of TRADE TEST GRADE  I / NVA LEVEL III issued by VETA.

1. Engage in design and development work of biomedical systems and equipment installations.
2. Engage in maintenance and repair of biomedical systems and equipment to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance with specifications and regulations.
3. Apply knowledge gained in the field of electrical and electronic engineering to identify and solve problems arising in the course of work.
4. Perform other tasks related to biomedical engineering practices.
5. Demonstrate proficiency with computer programs and database specific to biomedical engineering and general use.
6. Carryout research and development work concerning biomedical systems and equipment installations.
7. Undertake inspection and carryout tests on biomedical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
8. Communicate clearly and effectively and apply ICT in solving problems related to biomedical issues.

The mode of assessment comprises of 40% scores from Course work and 60% scores from final examination (semester examination).
