The entry requirements for the candidates applying for Bachelor of Science with Education should possess the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least two (2) principal passes (D and above)of a minimum of 4.0 points in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

OR

Diploma in Education with Science subjects with, Credit or B average

OR

Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6) in education or other diploma in Sciences with an average of B or GPA not less than 3.0

A graduate of this program will have:

• Broad knowledge base of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy.
• Critical understanding of basics, theories and principles of physics
• To achieve broad knowledge and understanding of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed of, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances
• Broad knowledge base of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy, and their relationship with the environment.
• To achieve broad knowledge and understanding of mathematical, numerical and statistical analysis.
• Wide range of specialized skills to practice routine principles of enquiry and /or research in physics.
• Effectively communicate information, ideas, programs and solutions to peers, faculty and non-specialists audiences
  • Wide range of specialized skills to practice routine principles of enquiry and /or research in chemistry.
• Effectively communicate information, ideas, programs and solutions to peers, faculty and non-specialist audiences.
• Wide range of specialized skills to practice routine principles of enquiry and /or research in Biology.
• Effectively communicate information, ideas, programs and solutions to peers, faculty and non-specialist audiences.
• Effectively communicate their mathematical thinking orally and in writing to peers, faculty and others
• Plan and prepare lessons for science subjects.
  • Teach effectively science subjects.
• Ability to work alone or with others in a self-directed activity within broad general guidelines or functions and works with some autonomy in wide range of activities related to physics disciplines.
• Ability to work alone or with others in a self-directed activity within broad general guidelines or functions and works with some autonomy in wide range of activities related to chemistry disciplines.

Ability to work alone or with others in a self-directed activity within broad general guidelines or functions and works with some autonomy in wide range of activities related to Biology disciplines.

The mode of assessment will be made up of 40% continuous assessment and 60% end of semester examination.
