While natural resources in Tanzania and the world at large are being threatened by multiple factors including loss and degradation of habitats, climate change, chemical and biochemical pollution, logging and poaching, invasive species, disease, loss of plant pollinators, and many more, the efforts for conserving natural resources are limited with shortage of conservation experts.
The aim of the Natural Resources Conservation programme is to produce flexible and highly qualified science graduates who will be able to meet the conservation challenges of the 21st century.
The graduates from this programme will therefore be flexible and able to meet the mentioned conservational challenges. The programme also will address national needs articulated through various national plans and policies pertaining to Natural Resources and Tourism.
