For Local Applicants:

Must have one of the following:

1.      A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent) with at least 1.5 years of undergraduate mathematics and at least a Lower Second Class.

2.      An Advanced Diploma in Mathematics with at least a B+ grade or equivalent, plus 3 years of teaching experience in mathematics.

3.      A Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics or Statistics.

For International Applicants:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or equivalent), with at least a Lower Second Class and a GPA of 2.7 out of 5, or its equivalent. 

This curriculum integrates rigorous theoretical foundations and applied components, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for research, academic, and professional roles in applied mathematics and related fields.

The program follows a Coursework and Dissertation structure, assessed through:

• Continuous Assessment
• Semester Examinations
• Independent Research

Students will receive an assessment plan at the start of the program detailing:

1. Tests & Examinations – Includes number, format, dates, and times.
2. Assignments – Includes task details and submission deadlines.
3. Research Assessment – Covers evaluation of the dissertation component.
