Applicants for admission into BSc EAE must meet one of the following requirements: 

i. Direct Entry: Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with two principal passes of at least “D” grade at Advanced Level in Mathematics and Physics. 

Those without a Principal or subsidiary level pass in Chemistry / Geography / Computer Science must have a Credit at O-Level.

ii. Equivalent Entry: Ordinary Diploma (UQF / NTA Level 6) or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electronics and Telecommunication or Electrical and Electronic or Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation or Electronics Engineering, all with an average of B or GPA of 3.0 and possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a pass in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry / Geography.

iii. Foundation Programme: Completion of a recognized Foundation Programme with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 5.0 and must have an advance certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE). The Candidate must have demonstrated a certain Talent related to the field. The talent will be assessed through reports and portfolios.

iv. International Applicants: Must present equivalent qualifications verified by TCU/NACTE.

i. Identify, formulate and provide innovative solutions to electronics and automation engineering problem at work place.

Competences – Graduates will be able to:
 

i. solve technical problems and be proficient in the analysis, design, test and implementation of electronics and automation systems utilizing appropriate software and hardware tools and devices.

The BSc EAE assessment framework consists of: 

i. Coursework (50%) – assignments, laboratory work, tests, projects, and presentations.

ii. Final Examinations (50%) – written examinations at the end of each semester.

iii. Industrial Practical Training – assessed through supervisor’s evaluations, logbooks, and student reports.

iv Final Year Engineering Project – compulsory design/research project assessed by supervisors and external examiners, focusing on innovation and problem-solving.
