Find For Rare Research Grant

Provides up to €50,000 for original research projects focused on Fabry disease, alpha-mannosidosis, or cystinosis. Projects can run for a maximum of 24 months, and researchers from regions outside North, Central, and Latin America are eligible. 

Applicants must be principal investigators, research scientists, or physician scientists affiliated with an eligible academic or health/scientific research organisation and hold a professional degree such as a PhD, MD, or PharmD. The grant is awarded to the organisation, not directly to an individual. 

Applications require an application form, CV (maximum 2 pages), and cover letter (maximum 1 page), all in English. The application deadline is 31 October 2026. 

Proposals are evaluated based on scientific strength, innovation, relevance and impact, and likelihood of successful completion.
