Welcome to the Department of Humanities.

The Department was established in 2019 following the reformation of the University. It is one of the departments under the College of Humanities and Business Studies (CoHBS). It was established with the aim of offering programmes in the Humanities but currently, no programme is running. Six programmes are under development while two programmes were submitted to TCU for accreditation. The Department expects to begin offering programmes in Linguistics, conflict resolution, community development and sign language.

There are currently eleven members of staff in the Department. Staff participate in teaching cross cutting courses such as Communication Skills in all the departments at the University. They are also engaged in research and consultancy these being part of the core functions of a university. The Department offers short courses in English language, conflict resolution and provides English certification.
