The program of Architecture started in 1986 under Department of Civil Engineering. In 1992, the Department of Architecture was formed as a result of splitting of Civil Engineering Department into two departments (i.e. Architecture Department and Civil Engineering Department). Later in the year 2012 the Department of Architecture was further split into two departments namely Architecture Department and Department of Settlement Planning and Design Technology.

Currently, the Department of Architecture is offering Diploma in Architecture and various short courses named; SPSS Data Analysis Package, AutoCAD, ArchCAD, Modal Making, Interior Design, Research Proposal Writing, Landscaping and Architectural Draughting.
