The department of Virtual Education (VE) is one of the two departments in the Center for Virtual and Continuing Education (CVCE) at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST).

The department of virtual education stands to contribute the fulfillment of the vision of  MUST that strives to contribute to the achievement of national development goals to educated people sufficiently equipped with appropriate knowledge and skills to solve society’s challenges and meet the challenges of development. This is achieved through provision of high quality training and community outreach activities.

In this regard, MUST is dedicated to effectively providing knowledge, technology and skills through various modes of delivery and one of them is Virtual Education. The Department of Virtual education coordinates the impartation of knowledge and skills through open, distance and flexible learning mode to the learners operated from the multimedia laboratory at MUST main campus. This provides learners with flexible and rigorous online learning opportunities that support the development of technology-enhanced learning across both online and face-to-face teaching environments.
